FDA Approves Fish Oil For Heart Disease
 
The following benefits have been attributed to Omega-3 fatty acids:
·       Heart disease prevention and management.
·       Lowers Total Cholesterol levels.
·       Lowers triglycerides.
·       Reduction in the activity index of inflammatory gastrointestinal diseases.

Scientists for the American Heart Association found that consuming 1,000 to 2,000 mg of omega-3’s daily can reduce blood triglycerides by an impressive 35 percent!  This would require eating 11 oz of salmon or 15 oz of tuna every day!


When omega-3’s are combined with phytosterols,  the benefits increase!  Shown to significantly lower total cholesterol,  lower LDL cholesterol,  lower triglycerides, and improve overall health.
